Sale of Towbars, Trailers and Accessories/Parts online with Solent Towbars

The following conditions apply to and are deemed to be incorporated in all contracts for sale and supply of the company's services and materials.
- The placing of an order expresses acceptance of our terms and conditions of business.
- These terms and conditions do not affect the customer's statutory rights.
- Credit will only be granted to customers who agree to pay in full and by the due date.
- All prices shown include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the statutory rate current at the date of invoice.
- (a) The company reserves the right to alter prices and/or specifications.
(b) The customer has the right to accept or decline any changes as indicated by clause 5 (a).
- No items for return can be accepted at the company's offices without prior agreement.
- On approval orders cannot and will not be accepted.
- Non receipt or complaints must be reported to the company within 10 working days in writing. This clause does not affect the customer's statutory rights.
- Our usual delivery shall be 3-5 working days from date of order received from customer.
- A full refund will be made in the event of a delivery being delayed due to any circumstances which are attributable to the company and whereby no alternative date is acceptable to the customer.
- The company guarantees that should our products not be to the standard, or in any way different from that advertised, we will refund any monies paid by the customer, but shall apply only to those item or items in question.
- No property in or title to the goods shall pass from the company to the customer unless and until the customer has made full and complete payment to the company.
- The company does not accept responsibility for damage to any equipment in which our products are used for the purpose other than those for which it was designed.
- Delivery is to anywhere within the United Kingdom charged at £9.00 (inc vat) per total order added at the checkout.
Delivery
- Delivery charge per order is £9.00 (inc vat) and is added to the total order at the checkout. From receipt of confirmed order, to manufacture and dispatch will be approximately 3-5 working days. This is only for orders within England, Wales & most of Scotland.
- For delivery to The Highlands of Scotland & Ireland please contact us for quotes on delivery times & prices.
- All goods are fully insured whilst in transit and will require somebody to sign for the goods at the delivery address.
- Solent Towbars reserve the right not to dispatch goods until payment has been made in full.
- We do not take orders for export outside of the UK.
Returns
Return of damaged/faulty goods or goods sent incorrectly by Solent Towbars
- Following purchase of your goods, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to immediately check upon receipt that they are not damaged, faulty or incorrect in any way.
- Please can all customers be aware that upon receipt of goods via our courier’s, should they be damaged or incomplete in any way as a result of transport to you, it is the responsibility of the customer to sign for it as ‘damaged’. Not signing for goods as ‘damaged’ will effectively leave Solent Towbars unable to claim for damages and therefore result in us being unable to replace the goods free of charge to the customer or issue a full credit.
- In the rare instance that the goods you have received are damaged, faulty or incorrect due to manufacturer error, a replacement or credit will be issued by Solent Towbars.
Return of unwanted or incorrectly ordered goods due to customer error
- Should any goods that have been received from Solent Towbars be deemed unwanted by the purchaser or ordered by the purchaser in error, but the goods are correct in manufacture and supply, then the purchaser has 30 days to return the goods for credit.
- The purchaser must inform Solent Towbars prior to the return of goods and the purchaser must have the sales invoice number for the goods they wish to return.
- Goods that are to be returned after the 30 day return period has lapsed will only be accepted by prior agreement with us and solely at our discretion. Solent Towbars retains the right to refuse any returns after this 30 day period.
- Please note that the return of goods is the responsibility of the purchaser unless prior agreement has been made with us and it is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to make sure that any items returned to us are fully complete.
- Solent Towbars may alternatively arrange the collection of goods with the cost being paid by the purchaser. If this is agreed it is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the item is packaged in such a way so as to guarantee that the item is returned complete.
- Where goods are required for return at no fault of Solent Towbars there is minimum re-stocking charge of £10 per item returned. We will complete a thorough check upon receipt of the goods to ensure the quality of the product is the same as when it was initially sold and this check will ensure that the goods have been returned complete and in a re-saleable condition.
- Solent Towbars reserves the right to deduct more from any credit refunded should the product(s) returned be found to be incomplete or in a condition that then requires any re-packaging work to be carried out by us. A credit note will be issued to customers when the returned goods are considered complete and in a resalable condition.

We trust that you will not have reason to complain about our products and services but if you do then we shall endeavour to process your complaint in a manner which in fair, confidential and effective.
If you wish to complain we would request that you do so by
as this is the most speedy way to document and respond to you. We will respond to your complaint within 5 working days.
How to use this shop
You can order any of our products online using our secure shopping facilities. Using the 'Towbars' link within the left hand navigation, simply enter your car model or select a car manufacture from the list.
You will then see a screen where you can view the details of the product, you then choose the type of electrics you want and if you require a towball to be included and click 'Proceed'. You will then see the total cost of your order, click 'Checkout' and the item(s) will be added to your secure basket. When you have completed the checkout form with delivery and card details click 'Process' to complete the order.
Your order will normally be delivered within 3-5 working days, although one of our order managers will contact you should the delivery date be any longer than that stated.
Your credit/debit card or any personal details you provide will not be disclosed to any other source.
Privacy Statement
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998)

We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future.

You can check the information that we hold about you by contacting us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.
If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.
